I haven't posted many blog entries or reviews here lately because I had been embedded in the mobile space. What does that mean? While not replacing desktop computing any time soon, the mobile platform (and for me that means iOS) has matured to the point now where I can be productive on it and create and process content on it and post it directly to the net. For example, shooting photography and video right on the iPhone, editing the media on it, and posting it on the net all without ever touching my desktop workstation computer.

They are all winners in our book. We were nominated in the one of the six categories this year for Best Podcast. Three weeks ago Apple unveiled the new Apple TV. It is now housed in a mysterious black box, as opposed to the silver of the previous Apple TV. It's much smaller and without a hard disk spinning inside plus a more efficient processor, it runs much cooler.

A black mysterious box is most fitting for this product because there's still so much about it that we don't know yet.

Recently I have gotten glued to GetGlue. What is Glue or GetGlue? Before I explain, let me tell you how I came to discover and use GetGlue.

After participating in last year's Worldwide Photo Walk (WWPW), I contemplated leading a walk myself this year. Before I knew it, it was July already (the month of the walk). When I checked to see what walks were available locally to me this year and saw that there were none, I immediately scrambled organizing a walk myself. Once I had the details worked out, I proceeded to submit my application to lead the walk prior to the posted deadline only for their website to erroneous tell me that applications were no longer being accepted past their deadline and therefore would not allow me to submit it. There was no recourse either.

A new Forums section has been created on this site to facilitate discussions on the ATP produced podcasts. Currently there are forums set up for Doctor Who: Podshock, The Sonic Newsdriver, and Hitchhiker's Guide to British Sci-Fi podcasts. As other podcasts are launched, they will added to the Forums section at that time.

From the creators of Doctor Who: Podshock comes a new podcast covering all British science fiction. It is being previewed here on the Doctor Who: Podshock feed for a limited time (it also has it's own feeds as well). While this podcast will still cover some Doctor Who material, it obviously won't be as in-depth as Doctor Who: Podshock though it won't be limited to it either.
