A snapshot of the history of the future… Going back today to the 1960s to see how they visualized 2001 then is what this upcoming documentary, years in the making, sets out to accomplish.

A documentary that really tells the story of the making of 2001, not just the technical story but the human story, the personal story, the experiences of people who interacted with Kubrick that is really true to the style and look of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

In promotion of the upcoming film Tron Legacy (coming to theaters on the 17th of December 2010 in the US) and the upcoming Tron Evolution video game (also coming later this year), Disney has released a new Tron game available for free in the Apple iTunes App Store (for iPhone and iPod touch) (iTunes link: TRON - Disney). Trailers for both are included in the game.

As we have been reporting on Hitchhiker's Guide to British Sci-Fi, there is a new remake of the classic British series, The Prisoner on the horizon coming to the AMC (American Movie Channel). The new series is re-imagining what the late Patrick McGoohan created and starred in with late 1960's original series.
